Culture & Religion “A food for thought”

Culture & Religion: “A food for thought.” Excerpt from the Thesis Submitted to The University of Roehampton in fulfillment of Masters of Theology & Leadership – By Rev. Alayode I agree with the Lussane Movement concerning the culture of love for God’s handiwork. “The history of the Church shows that Christianity does not have one cultural expression” (Francis I, 2013). Our ability to accommodate others with a genuine love of God is what makes us Godly. At the same time, our enmity or dislike for any culture is hatred against God and his handwork. How can we claim to be a Christian if we have no regard for all creatures? Culture is people’s way of life. It consists of customs, values, and beliefs. Looking at…

Reversing the Irreversible

Today’s Scripture:   Ezekiel 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus say the Lord God, Behold O my people , I will open your grave, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land.[KJV] Today’s Word: We have all had our own share of unfair things in the world. Many of us have gone through heartaches, pressure, problems, tribulation, persecution, or guilt. It takes the great God to do great things in our lives.Ezekiel had an encounter with dry rotten bones. They had been dry for decades; in fact no one remembered them. They were located in an isolated valley. But the supernatural eyes of the almighty God found them out. God moves beyond human ability to reverse the irreversible, find the unfindable, sink…

Pass Me Not

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 Chronicles 4:10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. (NIV) TODAY’S WORD: The message in Jabez’s short but intense prayer has been the bases of many aggressive prayers for change nowadays. A critical look at the story reveals that the first stage or a total deliverance begins with acknowledgement of one’s status. Brethren lets learn from Jabez. In Hebrew, Jabez (yabez) means pain. He realized there is no how he could be delivered without looking inward. What do you think is out of place in your life?…

God Is On Your Side

Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 8:9: “Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.” [KJV] Today’s Word: For every kingdom, there are powers that govern and operate with authority. Who owns the authority over your life? Jesus came to the world to destroy the kingdom of the devil. He paid the price for our freedom that we may not need to pay again. He paid it all. Jesus is given out a warning to all the strongmen operating in your life to let go now. He was made manifested for your sake. Your period of darkness and…
